The Challenge

A new ECU had to be designed from zero - hardware and software - with a first working prototype on a tight four-month timeline. It meant making MCAL, BSW, HSM and the crypto stack work together, embedding ISO 21434 cybersecurity measures early, and keeping hardware capabilities and software requirements in step throughout.

What We Did

We built hardware and software in parallel on a modular design, with tight agile milestones and iterative reviews across four months. MCAL, BSW, HSM and crypto were tested separately and together, ISO 21434 controls were embedded from the start, and continuous hardware/software coordination kept capability and performance aligned.
