Routing was manual and created bottlenecks, and a wide SKU range made day-to-day operations harder to run. B2B and B2C flows had no real-time coordination, quality checks were manual, warehouse-control integration was weak, and the setup couldn't scale with the business.
We built a Central Warehouse Control System that connects the full logistics chain into one automated flow. Real-time warehouse-management synchronisation keeps stock and orders aligned; adaptive routing algorithms move totes, trays and cartons on the fastest path and cut idle transport; and intelligent exception handling clears barcode, weight and dimension mismatches with minimal downtime.
A senior, Europe-based five-person team - a project manager, a lead software engineer, two software engineers and an IT logistics consultant - delivered over 16 months. Work ran on a staged Waterfall model with defined milestones and stage approvals: sequential delivery from design through development, integration and commissioning, with full IQ, OQ, PQ and UAT test phases validating each layer before handover. Conveyor and shuttle systems were simulated and emulated before on-site commissioning, with formal documentation and sign-off at every phase and key-user training before go-live.
