A global daily-deals e-commerce marketplace.
A newly acquired local platform’s operations and backend had to be integrated into the marketplace’s existing structure. The platform then needed to adapt to diverse regional business needs across multiple markets - and all of it had to be delivered without disrupting an established, live back-office system.
We enhanced and customised the marketplace’s back-office system after the acquisition, building market-specific features tailored to regional requirements. Rather than a full overhaul, we improved the system’s versatility and regional adaptability in place, expanding market reach - particularly in Australia - with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
A 6-member team - three backend developers, one frontend developer, one QA engineer and a project manager - delivered over eight months on a flexibility-first, client-centric approach: rapid adaptation to the marketplace’s environment and processes, structured onboarding to accelerate ramp-up, and an integration focus that kept disruption to ongoing operations to a minimum.
